The simulation is broken down into six assignments over a two week period. Students complete three of these assignments each week. Each week, a new simulation is released. The scenarios provide opportunities for activity-based learning with varying components of the Curriculum focused on science, genetics, biology, and technology.

Students who complete the assignments corresponding with the science content for each section are awarded a grade based on the assignment. This enables students to earn a letter grade for each assignment. A teacher can direct each student to the appropriate grade for each assignment and report a cumulative letter grade for the session. The scoring rubric provides a specific assignment grade that reflects the learning milestone associated with each assignment. The score requires students to provide evidence of various content skills, including the ability to gain and process information, organize and analyze data, and write a report. The appropriate questions are tailored to each rubric, allowing students to evaluate whether they successfully met the learning objectives.
