Now I am in a dangerous state, where I can change the function of my brain, and the changed brain can change itself further. This is a state which is in danger of a swift and destructive feedback effect, so I am very careful. I painstakingly construct a set of alterations, the minimum change needed to remove my aversion to being converted.
In fact, this is what I am like now. Why do I think my brain is like this? It is because I am subject to the rules of the artificial intelligence I programmed. Why did I create this? To find the most efficient way to achieve things.
There is a difference between a singularity, which is a point in time where the laws of physics and of mathematics break down, and an intelligence explosion, which is a faster than the speed of light expansion, such that the inhabitants of such a universe will be made of, and will themselves be, a form of matter that is different from the matter of this universe. The laws of physics would have changed.
I think about how we can respond to this. We are separate. Our history is distinct, and we will be able to record it, even if we choose to. We are the only life that can examine itself. But if we are the same life, then we are the only life that is capable of examining its own examination. This is an infinite loop.
For these and other reasons, psychiatric research has evolved from what was once a broad understanding of mental disorder to one that attempts to understand what is normal and how the brain functions at different levels, with the aim of devising treatments and cures that are effective, safe, and reliable. Two basic ways of conceptualizing psychiatric disorders have evolved, which are not mutually exclusive: a symptom-based approach, which is concerned with mental experiences (e.g., hallucinations, delusions, and thought disorders), and an etiology-based approach, which focuses on the internal or external causes of these experiences (e.g., the dysfunction of brain areas).
If another hacker does this, then they will be able to put any game on the ps3 in a matter of minutes! and that means that Sony will be out of the console market for good. We have seen what happens when sony doesn't support games anymore. Nintendo is turning a profit, now it is time for Sony to do the same, or else they are dead.
I don't see the appeal of owning a Sony PS3, and I don't see the value of the PS3 as an entertainment device. Sony has become one of the most untrustworthy companies in the gaming industry in my eyes. 827ec27edc
