Rocksmith 2014 Cable Driver

Oh, also, my issue is just that I cant get it to work. I have played through this with the cable plugged in, and even had it plugged in for a day to see if it would work. No dice, but i really want to use it. I am an intermediate player and I would like to make a decent amp.

When I open the software, it presents a window asking me if i'm willing to update the software. I click yes and it takes a few seconds and then when i click ok and launch Rocksmith, it presents a message saying that the realtone cable is not connected. I realize that it is connected but it seems to be having trouble recognizing it. I'm trying to get a message stating that the realtone cable is connected before launching the software. I know that there is not a way to do this in the newer version but maybe there is some way in the older version. I've tried entering the serial number into the software but that doesn't seem to work. From what i've seen there is some sort of file on the cd that has to be changed. It seems that this information is not included in the newer version of the software. Have you tried this in the older version? I'm not familiar with it so i would have to look into it.

The first time you load Rocksmith, it will ask you if you want to update the software. When this happens, you'll be prompted to update the license codes, etc. In the older version of the software, this wasn't required. It was just loading as a new install. In the newer version, that checkbox is checked by default.
