The area of inquiry addressed in the study is the parents' beliefs regarding their children's health-related information needs. To address the issues of health-related information, we interviewed the parents with the use of a questionnaire. Qualitative data analysis was done using MAXQDA software version 10 (VERBI Software). The survey probe allowed for collection of the necessary qualitative information by using a checklist that served as the guide for interview. The checklist included the following four features: Addiction, Injury, Control, and Diet. The participants were approached purposively until saturation of information was achieved. The spouse of the participants was taken into consideration as well.

The study used a variety of qualitative methods for research design and data collection, and analysis. The text analysis worked through the transcripts of interviews by using the principles of constant comparison. The results were compared with the content analysis checklist to determine the frequency of different components of the intervention. The statistical analysis was done based on the data gathered through focus groups conducted with actors involved in the intervention, and through individual interviews with studied participants. The data were analyzed using the qualitative content analysis approach.

Obesity is today's most serious problem and is associated with increased risk of many diseases and conditions. The cumulative effect of childhood obesity and the risk factors associated with it create significant public health problems. The estimates about the prevalence of overweight and obesity among children in Pakistan are lacking. The objectives of the present paper were to determine the current prevalence of obesity in Pakistan and nom characterize the health profiles of children in Pakistan.
