The \"collectors edition\" was released on October 31, 2012, initially for the PC version and eventually for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 28, 2013.[15] It includes stickers, \"postcards from hell\", an art book, posters, a ten-track soundtrack CD, a making-of DVD, a special in-game tarot card and an exclusive multiplayer skin.[16]
Co-op, whether on LAN or over the net, sees the Duke Nukem-voiced Daniel Garner (yes, the inestimable John St John has been called in) accompanied by Eve, of 'Adam and' fame. She's only wearing a towel, but can still give hellspawn some welly - and it's certainly entirely pleasant to take a friend along for the ride so you can both take the piss out of the atrocious cut-scenes and creaky endgame. It isn't seamless (the way the Garner player spends most of the aforementioned rollercoaster staring up between Eve's flickering legs can attest to that), but it's entirely functional.
Cooperative play can be done for the entire single player campaign, but it feels slightly tacked on. I assume it is to keep with the old-school mentality of the genre, but having no indication where your friend is can be annoying, so you will have to use voice chat or some other communication software to coordinate the hell massacre.
The game will launch across Europe on April 5th 2013, and it will feature a full campaign and four co-op chapters, as well as a slew of multiplayer modes. It's the next best thing to tie you over and satisfy your hell and gun lust until Doom 4 (doesn't) get revealed ever.
Daniel Garner is once again back to his demon-slaying shenanigans. Though Hell & Damnation tells a tweaked story that's only loosely based on both the original game and the Battle Out of Hell expansion, it's a familiar theme to anyone who has delved into the Painkiller series. Trapped in a hellish purgatory after dying in a car accident, Garner is desperate to escape his nightmarish prison. This time around, Death himself recruits the troubled protagonist with promises of reuniting him with his wife, Catherine. Of course, he must collect 7,000 souls first. Your mission is the same as it has always been: blast and eviscerate your way through a freaky batch of fantasy environments annihilating everything that moves while scarfing down souls like they're Halloween candy.
Classic deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture-the-flag modes are worth diving into for a quick retro fix of bare-bones fragging free of any modern nuance. These offerings are as pared down as it gets: a bunch of players running around on crazy murder sprees to see who can rack up the highest kill count. If you're not squeamish about getting back to basics, the frenetic tempo does sweep you into its flow. Survival is a more energetic multiplayer option, since the endless influx of hellish hordes makes it impossible to stop moving and shooting if you want to stay alive.
Evil has returned! Demonic forces, dark creatures, and souls held in purgatory. Yet again Daniel Garner must face hordes of monsters on his way to redemption. Painkiller Hell & Damnation is an extremely fast and ruthless remake of a classic shooter from years ago. More adrenaline, lethal weapons and hellish creatures plus new co-op and multiplayer modes. 59ce067264
