Change history 11/10/2014 Removed the above and added the link to download the form pdf. As many of you have become aware, the business unit running Enron's new efforts in Block Trading requested to delay filing its 11-K until the SEC discloses its guidance on Confidentiality Under the Securities Litigation Reform Act. As such, we will not be filing the 11-K on October 16, 2000 as originally planned. We wanted to update you on the reasons for the change and provide a more detailed explanation for the delay, including a revised date for filing the 11-K and the expected contents of that filing. As you are aware, earlier this year we established a new business unit, Enron Street Trading, to develop products for the wholesale energy and other constrained liquidity markets. The Street Trading business unit is one of the first in the country to leverage e-commerce technology, social software, wholesale market data, and other tools to develop and distribute a real-time portfolio of products to meet the needs of brokers, financial institutions, merchant entities, large customers, and end users. As with our previous efforts, the primary objective is to utilize our market analysis and origination capabilities to develop and execute strategic relationships that are mutually beneficial. We expect to provide additional information in an upcoming filing, but in the meantime, please be aware of the following: First, the SEC recently enacted Rule 17g2-2 -- a rule that applies to confidentiality requirements for securities laws litigation. While the rule bears upon the confidentiality of e-mail communications, it is primarily concerned with the need for protection of all electronic mail messages, whether or not they contain confidential material. Second, the SEC has told us that it is nearing completion of the rule on confidentiality of trading information derived from electronic platforms. While the rule does not address electronic platforms, trading information originates with the electronic transfer of data from sources such as terminals, scanners, private databases, and other devices. This information is retrospective in nature from the time of the trade until the time of the filing. d2c66b5586
