Let's take a look at a font that has a real personality all of its own. I really like this font. It has a strong and chunky feel. It's bold, yet it also looks delicate. It would do very well for a headline and it has all the attributes of a headline font: the short, strong strokes, the sans serifs and the decorative flourishes. I like the way it stands out.
This is a very strong, very solid font. It's one of those that you could confidently place with confidence in a headline. There's no need to worry that it's going to look too busy or that the smaller sizes will end up looking childish. It's just the right size and the font has the right look. It's strong and balanced and can't go wrong. It's also a font that you don't need to think about too much, because it's doing all the thinking for you. And it's very, very subtle.
You can add all sorts of decoration to any font. I love the way this one stands out. I know one of the designer's goals was to create something ideal for headlines in a magazine, but what's also striking about it is how it comes across with a top letter spacing, which makes it more '3D' looking. What a concept!
Another font where I think it's worth taking a look at some of the alternate glyphs. The web version is slightly more flowery than the actual design, but I'm not sure it really adds anything new. A small area of smudge is used to denote an 'i' and a 'J' combo looks like a small 'V' with a bit of a tick. It looks like a web designer's humour gone too far.
The key to success with Bichro is to buy a font with lots of Arial-like letters and combine them carefully. This saves the expense of the cheaper Bichro fonts, but you have to be more precise with your work to avoid garbled results.
The other font is written by Ferdinando Giuntoli. He's the founder of IGLAM and he uses it to work on Typeres , his Typeres and Typeres Web site. Giuntoli also gives his fonts away for free. He's using FF Minimum Bichro for this Web site.
Generally, the license specifies you can use the font for as long as you like, and as many times as you like. So you can't sell the font, use it to create your own font family, and restrict others from using it. However, in rare instances, a font could be made available under a separate use, in which case you would need to purchase a license to use that font.

827ec27edc
